Art
Pottery Of America is a completely new study
of American art pottery by the author of the
leading, pioneer book published twelve years
ago. Arranged alphabetically by the potteries,
the text includes important historical data,
photographs of each pottery's representative
forms, a complete series of the identifying
marks, and a newly updated price guide. Here
the novice as well as advanced collector will
gain knowledge to help identify and interpret
the art pottery produced in America from the
late 19th and early 20th centuries. Many photographs
and historical information are provided about
major American art potteries including Rookwood,
Weller, Grueby, Newcomb College, Teco, Hull,
Roseville, McCoy, Van Briggle, Haeger, and many
others. Author Lucile Henzke and her husband
are collectors of art pottery and students of
its history and live in Fort Worth, Texas.
