accepts from individuals and estates select consignments
that we believe our customers will like and which
represent the quality, period authenticity, and
value for which we're known. Given the time and
cost involved in research, photography, listing,
and distribution, we generally only accept consignments
for antiques and collectibles of moderate value
and above. Items accepted for consignment are
first shipped to us where we research, measure,
photograph, list, and ship to the end buyer. Prior
to listing, we discuss our research and recommended
selling price(s) with you prior to listing on
the site. Our per item commission rates are tiered
as a percentage of the mutually agreed selling
price less actual shipping charges: 30% ($100-$200),
20% ($201-$500), 17.5% ($501-$1000), and 15.0%
($1001 and above).
In general,
we do not accept consignments of pieces with
estimated selling prices less than $100 although
we do sometimes buy less expensive items in
groupings. Please send descriptive information
