New listing of 12 mint condition place settings of Gibson China in a lovely light yellow and cream color, each placesetting consisting of dinner plate 10.0" in diameter, salad plate 7.0" in diameter, a nice deep bowl 6.0" in diameter and 2.75" tall, and coffee mug 4.0" high. Each piece combines the soft yellow interior with the creamy off white exterior for a great effect, and each is marked on the bottom with the Gibson China mark. Whimsical ceramic "face" salt and pepper shakers come right off the shelf of a lowcountry South Carolina plantation, and everyone here loved them immediately- especially the exaggerated noses and the pursing lips. Both are in excellent condition with cork stoppers in the bottoms and measuring approximately 2.5" high and 2.25" in diameter at the widest point- they taper significantly from bottom to tip of the noses so the faces look upward at you! $24.00

Very fine set of 4 strawberry cannisters, with some of the most realistic detail and vibrant red colors and glaze you'll likely ever see in vintage ceramics. Included in this set are 3 square cannisters with beige base and strawberry top, each approximately 5.75" x 5.75" on the base and standing 7.5" high with the top on. We particularly love the giant strawberry perched on the top. The 4th container is a giant strawberry approximately 5.75" in diameter and 6.75" high. Three of the four pieces are marked, but the marks cannot be read. This set has lovely red and green colors and is very realistic and of strong craftsmanship. All 4 pieces are in very good condition except for a small 0.5" area along the edge of one strawberry which has some nicks to the red glaze, easily touched up if you so desire.

Large painted enamel serving platter with an interesting geometric design, right off the display shelf of a major Park Avenue penthouse condominium in New York City. The base metal of the plate is enameled in a rich forest green on the top and white beneath, and the enamel paint gives it a surface sheen that really can't be equaled any other way. The geometric design in the top center evokes the look of the 50s and makes it great as both a useful serving platter as well as a piece to be displayed. The substantial size gives you a lot of flexibility in how it's used, measuring a full 12.0" in diameter and a height of 1.0" given its steeply curving sides. The plate is in very good condition with no enamel chips- a rarity in enamel works of this age- and is sure to add design flair to any home.
