listing! We have a bet here on how long this rare, vintage ceramic
mushroom lamp is going to last on the site, and nobody bet more
than one week! These vintage mushroom lamps are virtually impossible
to find, and while this one is unmarked the quality of the design
and the manufacture is quite evident all around. It has a great
look as you can see in the photographs, with or without the light
on, and it's in absolutely mint condition and in full working order.
This lamp is unmarked and we are unsure as to who the manufacturer
was, but it is interesting to note that if this were a Fulper mushroom
lamp they sell at auction for well over $25,000. While we wouldn't
represent the design of this one to be equal to a Fulper version,
neither is the price! It measures approximately 8.0" high and
9.5" in diameter at the widest point, part of a Malibu, California
estate consignment full of finer vintage design exclusive to Collectics. |

This
black metal and glass globle hanging lamp is an outstanding example
of 1950s design and would look great in any design scheme from retro
to modern. The lamp itself measures approximately 19" high and 18"
in diameter at the widest point. Above the lamp, the original metal
chain approximately 24" long rises through which the electrical
wiring is woven (wiring is old and should be checked). The lamp
also has the original ceiling plate slightly over 5.0" in diameter.
Both metal and glass is in very good condition with no chips or
damage and all original patina. |

listing! Red hot collectible painted metal hanging light in floral
and leaf design, with vibrant, cheery colors of red, green, and
white. It's a very striking design which looks even better with
the lights on and filtering through the flowers and leaves, and
it measures approximately 11.0" high and 15.0" in diameter. It has
a long chain cord almost 12 feet long to accomodate many different
types of installation, and it's in very good, original condition
with occasional chips to the painted metal surface which lends so
much character to these painted 1950s metal lights.

Super
nice and rare, this black double panther ceramic TV lamp
was a real find in an eclectic Savannah, Georgia townhome. Aside
from the obvious attraction of the double panthers in crouch position,
we particularly liked the rich ceramic glaze on this piece and especially
the tinges of green highlighting and animals and down toward the
base. Like all period 50s & 60s TV lamps, this one puts out
nice, ambient light that makes it great to use watching television.
The lamp has strong detail and a great look, and it's in mint condition
ready for a new home to inhabit. |

Nice
Art Deco design lamp base on white marble and original felt on the
bottom of the base. Wood finish is original and the wood grain with
black insets makes a nice contrast. Looks like the brass portions
may have been refinished at some point, but they look good. No shade.

Very
unusual old Arts and Crafts lamp. This lamp was handmade from an
deer antler and is comprised of a decorative bird, electric light,
and a candle holder. We particularly like the eclectic look of this
piece, with its unusual combination of materials and themes. The
lamp measures approximately 21.5" high at the highest point and
is approximately 12.0" wide. Direct from a Colorado mountainside
estate, this piece would look great in a country home and would
really shine in a den or study. |

New
listing! Terrific early 20th century slag glass pot metal lamp and
linenfold shade can be yours direct from a Miami, Florida estate
collection of Art Deco collected over many years. We particularly
love slag glass from this period, and over the past 10 years the
prices have gone through the roof especially for blue slag glass
as per this lamp. The intricately cast base evokes a little Art
Nouveau flair although this was made more into the Art Deco period.
Six sides of blue slag glass with moderate color striations comprise
the base of the lamp, and included is a super metal finial from
the same period that is likely original to the lamp. It works great
and trust us when we tell you that the blue slag glass creates a
luminescent effect under light and the linenfold shade with blue
border really picks up the light too for added effect. The lamp
measures approximately 23.0" high to the top of the finial
on a base 7.5" x 7.5" and it's in very good condition
with no glass damage and very minimal age wear to the pot metal
base. |

measures 2.75" high, ready to make any lamp in your home look

You
won't want to miss this commercial grade Bud Light beer electric
advertising sign c 1992, one of the most famous designs of commercial
advertising lighting for bars and restaurants that has been produced
by Anheuser-Busch in the last 20 years. We really love the design
of this bar light, with colorful ribbons circulating above the very
realistic bottle of Budweiser Light, the King of Beers. Note the
bubbles in the bottle of Bud Light, visible even when not lit but
really coming out when the lights are turned on. It's in very good
condition with some very minor scratches not visible at all when
lit, works perfectly, and ready to hang on your game room wall.
These older breweriana lights are very hard to find available to
the general public, and of course Bud and Bud Light are perhaps
the two most sought after brands in the field. This was an original
contracted for directly by Anherser-Busch and retains the original
paper labels on the rear noting the Bud Light and A-B copyright
and date. The sign measures approximately 22.0" high, 17.0"
wide, and 5.5"deep, made by Everbrite, Inc. of Greenfield,
WI, and taken right off the recreation room wall of a Greenwich,
CT country estate; cross listed on Advertising 1. |

Very
hard to find Rock Ice neon sign that has that eye catching look
that you see in the best works of neon art lighting. Advertising
promotions in neon are not inexpensive to create, so distributors
are very selective in how many they order and to what businesses
they are given. Now with a chance to own one of the best breweriana
signs on Collectics, the Rock Ice beer sign has the most desirable
colors of blue, white, and yellow that make for a perfect contrast
in neon, and it's in mint condition measuring approximately 23.0"
high and 25.5" wide at the widest point. It's designed to stand
upright on its own or it can be wall mounted as you so desire, and
it has a pull cord for on/off operation. The neon was designed and
produced by Woorden Glass of Antigo, WI and has serial number 078640.
It's also a well constructed and substantial piece of neon art lighting,
with the indoor gas tube transformer made by Actown Electrocoil
of Spring Grove, IL; cross listed on Advertising 1.

New
listing! Terrific 1960s Power Gem Saturn lamp that is a must have
for any collector of mid-century modern design and the influence
of the space program. The lamp operates in various modes by pushing
buttons on the base, operating in low and high power settings of
red, green, and amber light. The colored lights look amazing reflecting
off the wall particularly in a darkened room, and the saturn ring
continuously turns just like the rings on Saturn to deflect the
light in different ways. Best of all, the lamp base has a speaker,
and the lights will react- flashing on and off- based on voices
it hears. As such, the lamp will flash in timing with your speech
if you are talking nearby and the speaker picks it up. Guaranteed
to amaze and astound your friends who will want to know what's going
on. The approximately 19.0" high and 10" in diameter (not
including the outer ring) lamp is made of plastic resin and in very
good condition, featuring a black base color and clear angled areas
to reflect the light out in many different ways. In the center of
the base is the Power Gem mark- classic 20th century design! Cross
listed on 50s/60s. |

Early
20th century hanging slag glass lamp with ornate metalwork frame
in very good condition. This classic shape combines 8 beautifully
rounded and shaped lower panes of this unique royal blue and white
slag glass with the 8 decorative panes rising from the top band
and nicely curved on the top. Blues and purples are always much
lesser seen than other colors in vintatge lighting and are highly
sought by collectors. One way you know this is old and not a reproduction
is the ornate metalwork, all with the original aged patina, decorating
the entire metal frame of this top quality light meausuring approximately
11.0" high, 18.5" in diameter (bottom) and 8.75" in diameter (top).
The lamp is in very good condition with no damage and to our eye
not even any heat cracks in the panes. It gives off a terrific glow
when lit and looks especially good on a dimmer so you can adjust
the light for different uses and times of the day. It has a metal
chain hiding the electrical wiring approximately 64.0" long. This
new listing comes direct from a major Greenwich, CT waterfront estate
and right off their ceiling. |

New
listing! Super gilt metal and slag glass lamp with hundreds of imbedded
cabochon glass jewels forming the 8 triangular panes of this octagonal
hanging lamp. Reflecting the very best of early to mid 20th century
craftsmanship, this elaborate lighting fixture came direct from
the ceiling of a Park Avenue, New York City penthouse estate. Each
of the 8 panels alternates between white and amber slag glass which
form the background for the cabochon glass jewels in all the colors
of the rainbow. Pictures can't capture how dramatic this lamp looks
when hanging from the ceiling and lit, and the ornate metalwork
that forms the ceiling cap and upper stem of the lamp also reflects
the highest quality workmanship and materials. Underneath, a white
glass globe hides the bulb inside, and it has a very decorative
brass acorn cap on it which complements the look of the metal lamp
frame. The lamp itself not including the metal stem from which it
hangs measures approximately 11.0" high and 17.5" in diameter,
while with the metal stem and chain the fixtures measures approximately
36.0" high from the bottom of the lamp to the extended ceiling
cap. The lamp itself is unmarked but has a very old Underwriters
Laboratory label on the bottom of the ceiling plate. The metal has
not been cleaned so it has a lovely soft patina of aged brass, and
the glass and lamp are in excellent and all original condition.
We did not check wiring, which should be done at time of installation.
It's a very heavy and substantial piece, and you'll be glad we pay
the shipping within the continental U. S. |

New
listing! Very hard to find lucite rose nightlight was a rare find
from a large country estate outside San Antonio, Texas. Collectors
of both lamps & lighting and lucite love this style of lamp
c 1950s, and we think the rose lamps are the very best of all. Incredibly
detailed roses inhabit the interior of the lucite block, giving
them the appearance of floating in water especially with the room
dark and the lamp on. The lamp looks great whether the light is
on or not as you'll see in the photographs, and the roses are incredibly
rich in color and depth. The leaves ornament the base and stems
and really bring the roses further to life. The lamp is controled
by a switch on the rear, and it's in mint condition except for a
hole in the bottom of the base which of course you can't see- probably
from someone using too high powered a bulb at some point in the
lamp's life. It measures approximately 6.0" high, 4.0"
wide, and 1.375" deep, right off the nightstand and direct
to a new home; cross listed on Bakelite & Lucite 2./85

New
listing of a very well done ceramic bird lamp c. 1950s. The colors
used are really pretty, especially the pink flowers (note the yellow
pollen detail) and buds plus the deep blues on the bird. The theme
is very well executed; this would have been an expensive lamp in
its day. It stands 17" to the top of the socket and is in excellent
condition with no chips, cracks, or damage of any kind. Excellent
find! |

Super
Victorian Art Nouveau glass lamp with hand painted decorations and
in mint condition. In the form of a vase, the piece is mounted on
a metal base through which the cord runs, and the three metal assemblies
that hold 2 candles each extend outward from the body of the vase
approximately 3.0". Each of the assemblies is connected to
the vase via a head decoration that reflects this piece's turn of
the century heritage. Six candles in total can be mounted in the
lamp, and the high quality crystals dangling beneath really catch
and further reflect the light being generated from within. The color
of this piece is really striking, a subtle pink color with the contrasting
ruffled top and sharing many common characteristics with peachblow
or Burmese glass. We love the ruffled top which itself is reminiscent
of Fenton
work at around the same time period or later. The lamp looks good
unlit, but trust us when we say that it looks even better when lit
from the inside with anywhere from one to three bulbs. The lamp
is in very good condition and it measures approximately 14.0"
high and 9.0" in diameter at the widest point. Cross listed
on Deco 3. |

Very
fine pair of vintage black glass with silver overlay candlesticks,
each candleholder designed to hold two candles on a nice stable
base. We particularly like the dramatic contrast between the black
glass with raised nubs and curvilinear lines with the highlighting
of the silver overlay in the floral and leaf decoration on the front
and ring trim around where the candles go in. They're a very flexible
size measuring approximately 4.5" high, 6.0" wide, and
2.5" deep, and both are in very good condition. These have
a really striking design, right off the dining room table of a Newport,
Rhode Island estate collection liquidation exclusive to Collectics.
Each is marked "Sterling" etched in the silver overlay
flower. |

Very
hard to find Miramar of California ceramic TV lamp with a musical
theme, a brass base coupled with a Marabella ceramic planter to
create a great 50s retro look. As with all TV lamps from the 50s
& 60s, the light was designed to be in the back behind the lamp,
to aid in viewing TV by having a little bit of ambient light in
a room. The green California ceramic planter is collectible in its
own right, part of the very popular collecting attraction of mid
20th century California pottery. The brass base has a musical theme,
always quite collectible and great as a gift, and features a treble
clef along with musical notes and using the vertical lines as the
lines of music- well incorporated into the design of the piece.
This TV lamp measures approximately 12.5" wide, 6.0" deep,
and 5.75" high including the brass metal base housing. The
ceramic is marked on the bottom Miramar of Calif. along with "
©1957" and the model number. The Miramar
ceramic planter is in excellent condition as is the brass musical
theme base although there is some very slight tarnishing. The Miramar
Pottery Company was located in Los Angeles, California, began operations
in 1952, and ceased to exist some time in the 1970s. The lamp is
a period mid-century design and not a reproduction, and it comes
direct from a major Philadelphia, PA estate consignment of vintage
lighting. |

Fun,
whimsical Raw Hide Tee-Pee Night Light lamp features a colorful,
very realistic Native American Indian sitting in front of his elaborately
decorated teepee with fur and feather closure and shield alongside.
The nightlight is inside the teepee, making for a cool effect when
lit in a darkened room that casts shadows out of the teepee and
gives a very realistic look. We particularly like the base of the
lamp, which looks like a very real slice of a large tree right down
to the textures on the sides and top. Part of the American Indian
Collection, this lamp is in mint condition and would be great as
a gift for any fan of western life and lore. It measures approximately
9.5" high and 8.25" in diameter at the widest point.

Rare
early rococo style lamp with carved alabaster round shade, both
lamp and shade in very good condition with only minimal age wear
and coming direct from a Ft. Lauderdale, FL estate. We love the
twin gold cherubs holding up the round shade, like gazing up into
the heavens as was a common theme during the period this lamp was
made. Touches like the use of the old veined black marble, the quality
of the casting, original patina, and the subtle ridge lines on the
edge of the shade for added flair show the kinds of things we look
for in distinguishing from reproductions. It's perfect for a nightstand
or makeup table as it measures a petite 10.0" high on an old
marble base 3.0" x 5.0". The shade itself measures approximately
4.0" in diameter and 2.75" deep; the shade is loose and
just slides down over the bulb. |
