More fun from the baseball collector's estate in Banana Bats and Ding-dong Balls, a "century of unique baseball inventions" by Dan Gutman. This book is chock full of fun stories about the history of baseball's craziest and sanest ideas and inventions and includes a host of diagrams, photographs, and illustrations that will fascinate you and make you laugh. Major chapters include Bats, Baseballs, Protective Gear, Practice, and Around the Ballpark, and each section is filled with insight about everything ever invented in that area. We particularly enjoyed the "Amazing Bat-O-Matic" and the histories of the baseball and the chest protector. We won't spoil the suspense for you here. T033 From a major sheet music collection consigned exclusively to Collectics, we extracted two fun children theme pieces that would look great in a frame on your child's bedroom wall. Mama, Would I Be An Angel? has words and music by Otto P. Ikeler and great cover art of a young girl praying by her bedside. It has some minor age discoloration and a few edge tears the worst of which is in the upper right corner, but it won't really matter in the frame for which this piece is destined. It measures approximately 12.0" x 9.0" and was published in 1925 by Otto P. Ikeler Music of Bloomsburg, PA. Also included in this set is I Lost The Best Pal That I Had, a sentimental song with words and music by Dick Thomas and published in 1920 by Harry Von Tilzer Music Company of New York. It features terrific cover art of a young boy and his family, a touching scene that goes perfectly with the song title. This 12.0" x 9.0" sheet music is in good condition with some minor age discoloration and a few edge tears, and both pieces come to you via the San Diego, CA estate collection of musical memorabilia and sheet music.
