New
listing, a nice example of a pulled opalescent glass vase that's
ready for a nice bouquet of flowers. The vertical pulled glass design
is quite popular, with the opalescence at the top and a star pattern
on the bottom of the vase. The top is quite irregular and particularly
wide for this period, allowing for larger groupings of flowers with
shorter stems. The white opalescence is well suited to work with
any variety of flower colors, adding flair to any bouquet. The vase
is in good condition with a little milkiness in the clear glass
from age and no chips or damage. It stands 7.5" high and opens
to a width of 5.0" at the widest point, off an Atlanta, GA
display shelf. |

Cristal J. G. Durand French cut lead crystal Montelimar pattern
vase, "Spiral Mate", in mint condition and still in the
original box. This is a simple yet elegant pattern with the swirls
curving upward finally to be lost in the thick, clear crystal. The
cuts are very deep and frosted, adding to the visual flair, and
the vase stands approximately 9.75" high and 6.25" in
diameter at the top opening. This is a very heavy and substantial
piece of crystal, direct from the shelf of a Miami Beach estate.

A
super gift for any glass collector and particularly for collectors
of antique sandwich glass, this 100% linen work has great color
and detail in capturing the variety of sandwich glass in all its
forms. Depicted is a sandwich glass perfume bottle, dolphin candlestick,
Salt-Lafayet boat, a plume pattern purple bowl, a Bunker Hill cup
plate, bank in a rooster pattern, and a tulip pattern vase. The
detail is very fine, complemented by the "oblong tray"
of the U. S. Frigate Constitution at the bottom. It measures approximately
27.0" x 16.5" and is in excellent condition, and it has
the original tag still attached from Kay Dee Designs of Hope Valley,
RI and designates the work as a 100% linen fabric made of imported
linen. Cross listed on Textiles 3.

Period
Art Deco green glass vase, in a classic Art Deco style that combines
the round center of the vase with the angular corners which evoke
the look of the space age and classic barware of the 20s and 30s.
Reminiscent of Teco Pottery in design, this is a must have for green
glass collectors and a great addition to any Art Deco collection.
The vase rises to a height of approximately 9.0" and is 4.0"
in diameter at the widest point. The vase is in very good condition
with only the tiniest surface chip less than 0.05" on the rim
edge and not visible except by touch; cross listed on Deco 2.

Super
pressed glass covered candy dish in the desirable pink color and
a unique heart pattern with inset flower complemented by multiple
geometric patterns that surround the hears on the top and sides
of this fine bowl. Both top and bottom have the heart pattern, and
we like the use of glass texture to create a 3 dimensional effect
in the hearts by combining the heart outline, the textured background,
and the raised floral pattern. All in all, it's a great piece to
both use and display, and it measures approximately 5.25" in
diameter and 3.5" high when covered. This striking little candy
dish is in very good condition with no chips or damage, and it comes
to you bargain priced direct from a Venice Beach, CA oceanside hideaway./28
